In March, OPPO presented its first smartwatch under the name OPPO Watch. Next week, to be exact on July 31st, the brand should release the updated version of the wearable, which new rumors reveal will be pre-installed with Google's Wear OS as the operating system.
OPPO Watch coming soon in a new version with Wear OS
Recall that the OPPO Watch presented a few months ago in China arrived with ColorOS Watch as an operating system, while a GIF just released by the Chinese brand confirms that the new version will arrive with integrated Wear OS. In any case, the updated version of the OPPO Watch would be very close to the official presentation, this while the current variant with ColorOS Watch has just gone on sale in Germany earlier this week.
Having said that, although there is ColorOS, the OPPO Watch that debuted in Germany still comes with some Google apps such as Google Assistant and Google Pay. It therefore differs from the Chinese variant which instead adopted the assistant Breeno and Ali Pay for electronic payments.
As for the technical specifications, these should remain identical. We will therefore find a 1,6-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, together with a resolution of 360 x 360 and a protection in Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The smartwatch is powered by a Snapdragon Wear 2500 and the efficient Apollo 3, supported by 1 GB of RAM and an integrated memory of 8 GB of RAM. While for autonomy we have a 300 mAh battery that in low consumption mode allows a use of up to 14 days.
The OPPO Watch can keep track of various types of activities such as running, swimming and cycling. It supports sleep monitoring, heart rate monitoring, menstrual cycle monitoring, ECG and sedentary reminder.
Finally, the price of the Global version already on sale in Germany is 249 euros. As for the other markets, the OPPO Watch will debut in India on July 31 together with the Global version of the Reno4 pro.
