OnePlus launched the second beta open of the new OxygenOS 11 for all devices belonging to the 8 series. The improvements, as well as minor bug fixes, are many and among these there is a very interesting feature that concerns the display of the home page when the device is off. Basically the changes made concern an annoying black screen problem in the interface "Tips and support”Of the settings. In addition to this there was the correction of the Google assistant not being activated. But there are also news, as we anticipated, on the aesthetic front.

OxygenOS 11 Beta 2 introduced this new screen display mode called "Canvas". Through this feature the device (OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 8 Pro) can he "Automatically draw a wireframe image based on a lock screen photo on your phone".

Clearly all the most important features introduced with the first beta have been kept, such as theAlways on Display. However, we want to treat this aspect well: it did not convince us that much. Unfortunately the AOD is not what we expected and the battery consumption is definitely too much compared to that of an MIUI for example. We hope the fixes cover this too. The concentration of the developers has also focused on another aspect, namely that ofusing the device with one hand. The most used areas of the screen have been calculated and the interface optimized in this regard.
