OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro have updated to OxygenOS 12 stable just a few days ago. The update came a bit quietly, with no official announcement from the company on the official community. Recall that a few months ago Oppo and OnePlus made their partnership official. One of the consequences is the integration of the base code of OxygenOS and ColorOS. The latter is Oppo's custom Android interface. There are some news on OxygenOS 12 that users don't like very much. One of these is the one it provides the inability to disable the Google Discover feed. The users report, as we know, that previously, before the update, it was possible to disable it.
There are also several other bugs that users notice. For example, it is no longer possible to customize the status bar. Likewise it is not possible to change the icons as individually. However, it must be remembered that the problem is not quite new.
Already with the second beta of OxygenOS 12 many had noticed the same problems. This leads us to think that OnePlus has released a stable version, which is not that stable. In fact in recent days it was rumored that this update could have been released by "mistake" as stable but that in reality it was a beta in all respects. In hindsight, this could all be true.
