We haven't talked about it until today as we were pretty sure the go between the Android skin of Oppo need OnePlus it would not have come to us. And so it will be, at least for the whole of 2022. Many have said that the two Android skins would be unified following the merger of the two brands. Effectively in China it was like that, but today on the OnePlus Community it was officially named OxygenOS 13. Let's see the details.
OnePlus will not unify the proprietary OS with Oppo, at least not for now: OxygenOS 13 officially announced, clearly with Android 13
OxygenOS 13 will be the direct heir of the current OxygenOS 12. Most of the latest OnePlus smartphones have received the update based on Android 12. While before today it was thought that Android 13 would come along withOnePlus-Oppo unified OS, which many have called H2OOS, now the situation "changes". In fact nothing has changed since the Global arrival of the unified OS has never been formalized. Rather we know that OxygenOS 13 will succeed the current version of the Android skin.
Android skin which, let's remember, is currently Android 12. Tiramisù, or Android 13 will debut with OxygenOS 13. Know that from this moment it is possible to apply to become a Beta Tester (at least we assume from what we read on the official thread). The 28 February next there will be an event, probably for the presentation of the skin. It is possible to apply for participation.
We don't know when the OS will officially come out, but we expect it to debut by the end of the year. After all Android 13 is expected to arrive this fall and unless OnePlus delays the release (we doubt), the Android skin and update will come together.
