Pixel 6: Google Tensor is more powerful than the latest Snapdragon!

Google Pixel 6 debuted a few days ago in the USA and, according to what we know, it should arrive in Italy early next year. The market definitely needs to new smartphones and we are not just referring to how they look aesthetically. A diversification it is also necessary inside, with new and perhaps even “customizable” SoCs. Google, this year, is the teacher and with the Tensor processor outperform the competition. But how will it behave? Let's see it together.

How will the Google Pixel 6 behave with the new Google Tensor processor? Definitely good, even better than the latest Snapdragon 888!

The owners of the new Pixel 6 and 6 Pro have begun sharing the first details on the capabilities of the Tensor processor. During the presentation, Google itself compared it to the king of the mid-range Snapdragon 765G, which is why many haven't had the best opinion on this chip. Apparently, this chipset is able to compete with arms equal with other flagship processors.

One of the portal users reddit published the test results of its Pixel 6 in the benchmark 3DMark, which determines the capabilities of the graphics subsystem. In the test Wild life, the smartphone scored 6666 points with an average frame rate of 39.9 fps and in Wild Life Extreme scored 2028 points with an average frame rate of 12.8 fps.

As shown below, the Snapdragon 21-powered Samsung Galaxy S888 Ultra scores 1.494 points at 8.9 fps in Wild Life Extreme, while the Exynos 2100 scores 1.793 points at 10.7 fps. Kirin 40-based Huawei Mate 9000 Pro achieves 2004 points at 12 fps. Therefore, the Pixel 6 outperformed all direct competitors in this test.

In the 20-minute test of Wild Life Extreme Stress, the Pixel 6 scored 2129 and 1193. Stability was only 56%. Thus, in nearly 10 minutes, the maximum performance of the video accelerator due to the throttling they have almost halved.

According to the information available, Google Tensor includes two Cortex-X1 cores high performance, two powerful Cortex-A76 e four Cortex-55 cores energy efficient. A 20-core video accelerator is responsible for the graphics inside it. It is important to note that the benchmark results do not always represent real performance in daily activities.
