Qualcomm announces four new mid-range Snapdragon SoCs - here are which ones

Let's start with the Snapdragon 778G Plus 5G which is a slightly optimized version of the Snapdragon 778G. Qualcomm says the new chipset has boosted GPU and CPU performance.

The Snapdragon 695 5G is an improvement over the Snapdragon 690 5G which was announced last year as the first 5G processor in the Snapdragon 600 series.

The new chipset is based on the 6nm process, an upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 690G's 5nm processor. It also has a Kryo 660 CPU with a clock speed of 2,2 GHz and an Adreno 619 GPU.

Qualcomm claims that the processor brings a 30% increase in graphics rendering and a 15% improvement in CPU performance over the Snapdragon 690 5G.

Finally, the Snapdragon 695 5G also has Qualcomm FastConnect 6200, Spectra 346T ISP, a Snapdragon X51 5G modem with mmWave and sub-6GHz support, Bluetooth 5.2 and support for Quick Charge 4+.

Then we have the Snapdragon 480 Plus 5G, an 8 nm chip that integrates a Kryo 460 CPU clocked at 2,2 GHz, Adreno 619 GPU Snapdragon X51 5G modem, Spectra 345 ISP, Qualcomm FastConnect 6200, Bluetooth 5.2 and support for mmWave and sub-6 GHz technology. It also has 4+ fast charging.

Finally, we come to the Snapdragon 680 4G, 6nm process is the only 4G chipset announced today and should be an upgrade over the 678nm Snapdragon 11. The chip integrates Kryo 265 core clocked at 2,4 GHz and has an Adreno 610 GPU. There is an onboard Snapdragon X11 LTE modem, Qualcomm FastConnect 6100, Bluetooth 5.1 and support for Quick Charge 3.0.
