New rumors have just suggested the arrival of a new variant of the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. To the surprise of a few, the chip will be called Snapdragon 865 Plus.

As some of you will remember, this had already happened last year, when Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 855 Plus as an updated variant of the Snapdragon 855. With all the flagship devices presented after that day that were equipped with the Plus variant.
Going into detail, it was reported that the Snapdragon 865 Plus could have a 3,09 GHz clock speed, compared to the 2,84 GHz of the Snapdragon 865. The device identified with such a high clock speed was ASUS ROG Phone 3 Interestingly, the ROG Phone 2 was the first device to be presented with the Snapdragon 855 Plus.
In addition, according to some benchmarks on AnTuTu, the chipset manages to obtain a total score of 646.310 points. This includes a CPU score of 183.149 points, a GPU score of 247.932 points, a MEM score of 111.239 points and a UX score of 103.990 points.
Also recently, the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G have leaked online and this showed a Snapdragon 865 Plus as a processor. The smartphone is expected to be launched in a couple of months, along with the Galaxy Note 20 series and the Galaxy Fold 2.
In any case, the new chipset is expected to arrive in July.
