Realme 6i is preparing to debut with the MediaTek Helio G80 processor and 48 MP quad camera on board

The rumors and leaks related to the new entry level Realme 6i are starting to intensify, a smartphone that should join the Realme 6 and 6 Pro family, in order to cover most of the market price brackets. If everything up to now, however, was only a series of rumors, now it is the company itself that gives the device official status, revealing a main feature of the photographic sector but above all the launch date of the terminal.

As you can see from the teaser that appeared online, we should only wait until March 17 to find out everything about the new Realme 6i, which according to what reported by the teaser itself will be equipped with a quad camera with a 48 MP main sensor, while for the rest of the sensors the at the moment we do not know its nature. Certainly, however, we can say that this new generation compared to the past focuses heavily on the photographic field, considering that the Realme 5i adopted a primary sensor of only 12 MP.

Another indiscretion concerns instead the CPU used, which will officially be a MediaTek Helio G80, so far never seen on board a smartphone and this could already be a "big" record for the little Realme.

The MediTek Helio G80 processor, equipped on Realme 6i, was announced last February and is positioned as a bridge between the medium and medium / high range of the market, as it can be called a gaming chipset. This could mean that Realme 6i seems to be designed for a purely youthful audience, which is particularly looking for "entertainment" rather than top-of-the-range performance. The MediaTek gaming processor has an octa core structure of 2x Cortex-A75 at 2.0 GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 at 1.8 GHz which is flanked by an ARM ARM Mali-G52 MC2. The processor also supports 4 MHz LPDDR1800X type RAM but 5.1 eMMC storage.

Realme 6i, from what we know, will therefore offer a photographic sector equipped with a quad camera with a 48 MP main sensor and probably a wide-angle sensor, macro and one for depth acquisition. Inside, however, there will be room for a large 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging, as well as a display with a drop notch of which hopefully at least a Full HD + resolution considering the gaming soul of the processor. We will officially discover the specs on March 17th, but we are sure that in these days that separate us from the launch event there will be further and delicious previews.
