After years of not exactly exciting progress, the struggle to achieve faster charging on a smartphone now seems to be at the height of competitiveness. Among the most active brands we find Xiaomi, Oppo and therefore also the Realme sub-brand.
Realme certifies the name "SuperDart", is it the next generation fast charging?
For the uninitiated, Oppo is currently the world leader in fast charging. On board the Reno Ace we find an incredible 65W recharge with the name of SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge, capable of recharging the 4000mAh battery on board the smartphone from zero to 100 percent in just 30 minutes.
While the closest competitor is currently Xiaomi who seems to have already certified a 66W fast charge, just 1 watt more, that was done on purpose? Xiaomi's new super-fast recharge will arrive on board the Xiaomi Mi 10 series most likely in late February.
Returning to today's news, apparently the Realme brand does not want to win Oppo so easily and here it has just requested the registration of the trademark for the name "SuperDart". So SuperDart will be the equivalent of SuperVOOC but for smartphones produced by Realme.
That said, at the moment we are only talking about a leak, therefore not an official data that confirms its existence.
Furthermore, even if we already know its name, we have no information on the current charging speed that will come with this standard. However, we can speculate that it is the same that we find on board the Oppo Reno Ace, especially given that the smartphone has been on the market for at least a couple of months.
Obviously we will continue to follow developments closely, so you will be the first to know all the details on what promises to be a truly innovative technology.
