Realme X50 5G: Side impression sensor confirmed

Oppo's sub-brand, Realme, seems to have surrendered to leaks and speculation regarding the upcoming Realme X50 5G. Here, therefore, just from the brand itself are now new clues about the next series arriving in early January.

Realme X50 5G: Side impression sensor confirmed

Realme X50 5G

In today's teaser, Realme makes us take another look at the device, although unfortunately always from the back. In this other rendering we are able to confirm the design adopted by the Realme X50. In particular, the presence of an old-fashioned fingerprint sensor positioned on the right side of the device.

A design that reminds us very much of Redmi K30 presented a few weeks ago and which suggests the use of an LCD type display. LCDs, unlike AMOLED, do not allow the use of a fingerprint sensor under the screen; a technology not yet ultra cheap but not reserved for flagships only.

Still regarding the screen, according to Chinese media, in another teaser the brand would have mentioned the use of a display with a high refresh rate. Specifically, the teaser said "In the era of fast charging, are you updating enough?". With "updating" that would refer to the display update speed, therefore most likely 120Hz given that the Realme X50 seems to increasingly resemble the alternative of Redmi.

As for the other specifications, the Realme X50 5G will adopt a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor (again like the Redmi K30 5G), with support for the 5G NSA / SA dual-mode network; for better coverage and download speeds of up to 3.7Gbps.

The smartphone will then have four cameras on the back, as we can clearly see in the teaser, two front cameras inside a hole on the screen and a new ultra-fast charging technology which is actually an improvement on the already excellent VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. This, in addition to charging the smartphone by 70% in 30 minutes, is also safer than normal with an advanced monitoring system.

Finally, regarding the launch date. As we learned yesterday, the smartphone will be presented on January 7 in China.
