According to a report by LatePost, arrived to us through Chinese media, the Chinese company Smartisan will no longer focus on building and manufacturing smartphones. This news comes like a bolt from the blue considering how the small Chinese company was recovering after thepurchase by ByteDance.
According to sources, the 13st January last year the laboratory dedicated to the production of smartphones was merged with another company owned by ByteDance which, however, deals with products related to the sphere of education. Smartisan, therefore, had become a ball and chain for the Chinese entertainment giant, so much so that it brought work to the end. An industry insider said the the company's business level is not even comparable to the "small" numbers that Meizu does. In short, a collapse.
The company has not yet pronounced itself and therefore we await confirmation on this (to avoid episodes like that of LG).
