Indestructible smartphone? It is possible thanks to this lightweight material

Smartphone rugged often they rhyme as indestructible. Well, their level of resistance is truly incredible but if the materials are heavy, the mobile device is too. The MIT has discovered, in this regard, a super strong material and lighter than plastic used in our devices. Her name is 2DPA-1, and you can use it to create truly lightweight, ultra-strong mobile devices. Let's see the details.

Is there an indestructible smartphone? Some ruggeds come close to this level, but MIT has discovered a material that is resistant to absurd levels!

Lo development of researchers of the MIT will allow the production of truly unbreakable smartphones in the future. The material created by scientists, called 2DPA-1, is six times stronger than bulletproof glass and twice as strong as steel, but lighter than plastic. The prospects for 2DPA-1 polymer are much higher than for analogs. One of its main advantages is its ease of production.

Using a unique curing process, the scholars were able to do assemble the monomers in two-dimensional sheets. Such sheets can be applied to various objects, forming a durable protective coating. It is important that the material is assembled in sheets in a special solution by itself, without other components. These monomers, then, are monomers connected together like bricks.

La melanin, which is already used in the production of special clothing for firefighters, was used as a building protein 2DPA-1, a kind of sticky. Tests of the new material have also shown that it is capable of successfully protect your smartphone from corrosion and liquid damage. According to the authors of the project, their development can be used not only to create smartphones, but also in the construction sector.
