The new device of Xiaomi has aroused a lot of interest not only because it is the first to integrate Qualcomm's flagship SoC, but also because its source code has revealed several things. From the news in our possession we know that the US company has blocked the possibility of OEMs to increase the clock frequency of the "base" processor. for this he is planning to release a "plus" version.
As you can see in the screenshot above, there are two "Lahaina" a "v2" version and a "v 2.1" version. This according to what the source revealed, would mean only one thing: the version 2 will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 + while version 2.1 (paradoxically) will be the standard we already know.
The new version of the processor has still unknown features. We don't know if it will really be just a 888 overclocked or whether the American company plans to make other changes.
