Setting aside the discussion of the microchip crisis, we know from Chinese sources that Oppo plans to launch its Mariana chip very soon. "Mariana Project“, For those who do not know, it is the name that the Chinese company has given to the project, which involves the construction of its own SoC. According to the rumors that have come out lately, it seems that its nature has been clarified. Self Xiaomi proposed an Image Signal Processor (ISP), Oppo will propose a processor. Like a Snapdragon or a Dimensity.
We wanted to mention these two names as they are the best known. Snapdragon is the name of Qualcomm's processors while Dimensions is the name of MediaTek's flagship SoCs. But the question of names is still nebulous. Mariana should be the code name of the processor and not the "final" one. According to the information in our possession, the final name would be M1. This is a familiar name, since it is the same as the Apple processor just presented.
