The Ticwatch Pro 4G / LTE is official: New features and specifications

Yesterday we had it there premature and today it arrived on time, let's talk about the new Mobvoi smartwatch, the TicWatch Pro 4G / LTE.

If we have to be honest, in the previous post we anticipated the arrival of a TicWatch Pro 2, but the Chinese brand seems to have opted for a remake of the excellent TicWatch Pro presented last year. This does not mean, however, that there have not been substantial changes compared to the past version. So let's go and discover them together!

The Ticwatch Pro 4G / LTE is official: New features and specifications

Ticwatch Pro 4G / LTE

The main upgrade over the previous model is undoubtedly the addition of 4G / LTE connectivity. In fact, as mentioned above, the device is called TicWatch Pro 4G / LTE and on the product page we find the Verizon logo in plain sight. For those who don't know, Verizon is a US based internet provider.

What does this mean for practical purposes? Well very simply that every TicWatch Pro 4G / LTE will be equipped with a Verizon e-sim to be able to connect to the 4G / LTE network wherever you are and without the need to insert a SIM card or a smartphone nearby.

The fact that the smartwatch does not have to open to add a SIM is also essential as the device is waterproof and has been certified to the Military Standard 810G. It can therefore "survive" in temperatures ranging from -30 to 70 degrees centigrade, up to 57kpa of atmospheric pressure, 44 ℃ of solar radiation, 95% of humidity, fog, sand, dust and shocks. In practice it is an almost indestructible smartwatch.

Among the other differences we find then a layer of Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 to protect the main display of the 1,39-inch AMOLED type with 400 × 400 resolution and the secondary one of the FSTN LCD type. While the weight has decreased from 58,5 grams of the original version to 47,5g of the TicWatch Pro 4G / LTE.

The external appearance of the new smartwatch is very similar to the previous one if not for the slightly darker black color and the presence of a silicone strap instead of a leather one.

Inside the 4G / LTE version we then find the same Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 but this time assisted by well 1GB of RAM (previously they were 512MB) and 4GB of internal memory.

Summarizing all the new features on board the TicWatch Pro 4G / LTE:
