Vivo X70, X70 Pro and X70 Pro + official: with V1 chips and Zeiss photography reaches a higher level

First, let's take a look at the exterior design. Earlier this year, Vivo launched the X60 series with a modern and highly recognizable dual color look. On the X70 series, Vivo has instead brought a “Tingbu cloud” design inspired by classical Chinese gardens.

Then we have the design of the X70 Pro + which is even more unique with a mirrored ceramic part next to the camera module and the iconic Pro + logo, in addition to the words "Vivo ZEISS Co-engineered", which is the result of the collaboration between Vivo and Zeiss.

In terms of colorways, in addition to Black, Monologue and Nebula, the X70 Pro + also has two unique color combinations, namely Journey (orange) and Wild (blue). The material has been changed to smooth leather + ceramic for a more premium feel.

In terms of weight and thickness, on the other hand, the X70 Pro has a thickness of 7,99 mm and a weight of 185 g, while due to the ceramic plate of the X70 Pro +, the smartphone weighs 213g and has a thickness of 8,99, 210 mm; the smooth leather version weighs 9,27g and is XNUMXmm thick.

In addition to the design, imaging is one of the highlights of the X70 series. This time in addition to the deep collaboration with Zeiss, the X70 series also uses the V1 image chip developed by Vivo, which should bring improvements in photo and video shooting.

The V1 created by Vivo is an Image Signal Processor (ISP) chip and it is a unit used to process the output signal of the front-end image sensor.

According to the official introduction, the Vivo V1 has features of high performance, low power consumption and low latency, bringing the power of desktop computers to smartphones, with an excellent ability to reduce noise and insert frames in real time.

More importantly, compared to the same software algorithm, Vivo's independently developed V1 chip can reduce power consumption by around 50%.

The V1 is mainly used on the X70 Pro and X70 Pro +. His presence has greatly changed night shooting, especially video shooting. It can be shot clearly and brightly even in low light, so shooting video in the evening is no longer a problem.

In addition to the V1 image chip, the collaboration between Vivo and Zeiss has also resulted in improvements in lenses, coating and color.

The X70 series uses an ultra-low dispersion glass lens for the first time used in Reflex lenses. It is currently the lowest dispersion lens material used in the mobile phone industry. It is fully certified by the T * coating and is the only ALD coating in the world and the first IRCF pigment rotary coating technology in Android.

In addition, the X70 series also offers four new features manufactured by Zeiss, including Biotar-style blur, Distagon-style blur, Sonnar-style blur and Planar-style blur, in addition to the “Zeiss natural color”.

The micro gimbal of the X70 series has also been updated: in particular, the X70 Pro has a main camera with micro gimbal with 50MP sensor + 12MP professional portrait camera + 12MP super wide angle camera + MP super telephoto periscope. The Vivo X70 Pro + is further upgraded to a 50MP super large main camera (GN1 sensor) + 48MP super wide angle micro pan-tilt camera + 12MP super wide angle camera + 8MP periscope super telephoto lens.

In terms of displays, the X70 series has seen an upgrade with the X70 Pro which now features a 6,56-inch FHD + screen that supports 120Hz upgrade and 240Hz touch control, while the X70 Pro + is upgraded to a new generation of AMOLED screen made of Samsung E5 material, size of 6,78 inches, 3200 × 1440 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and also supports LPTO 1-120Hz adaptive upgrade.

In addition, the X70 Pro + also supports 10-bit color, 1,07 billion colors, normal brightness of 500 nits, local maximum of 1500 nits, and average DeltaE color deviation of only 0,45.

When it comes to performance, the X70 uses a customized version of the Dimensity 1200, the X70 Pro uses the Exynos 1080 and the X70 Pro + uses the Snapdragon 888 Plus, which is currently the most powerful flagship chip on the market.

In other respects, the X70 series comes with a minimum of 8GB of RAM, starting at 128GB of flash storage, up to 12GB + 512GB, and also supports memory fusion technology, which equates to 4GB of more memory, up to 16 GB of equivalent memory.

Finally, as far as autonomy is concerned, the X70 integrates a 4400 mAh battery, the X70 Pro has a 4450 mAh battery that supports 44 W flash charging and the X70 Pro + has a 4500 mAh battery that supports 55W wired flash charging and 50W wireless flash charging has also been added.

For pricing, we have the Vivo X70 starting at 3699 yuan (490 €), the Vivo X70 Pro starting at 4299 yuan (560 €) and the X70 Pro + starting at 5499 yuan (720 €).
