The mid-range market is becoming more and more competitive with each passing day with 5G devices coming at ever cheaper prices. The latest device of this type is the just announced Vivo Y70s. A smartphone that manages to combine 5G connectivity, triple camera at a starting price of 1.998 Yuan (260 €). It is also the first smartphone to equip the Samsung Exynos 880 chipset, which is actually comparable to a low-clocked Exynos 980.

The Y70s is built around a 6,53-inch FHD + LCD display with a hole in the upper left corner for the 16MP selfie cam. On the back we find a 48 MP main camera together with an 8 MP ultra wide lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. The right side then houses the fingerprint sensor.
As mentioned earlier, under the hood we find the Exynos 880 SoC. The chip is based on an 8nm production process with two Cortex-A77 cores at a clock of 2,0 GHz together with six small A55 cores that operate at 1,8, 76 GHz. The GPU is instead a Mali-G5 MPXNUMX.
The part of the software is covered by the FunTouchOS 10 based on Android 10. The smartphone is also equipped with a 4.500 mAh battery and a fast 18 W recharge.
Finally, the Vivo Y70s is available in black, blue and white and is currently on pre-order in China. The 6 / 128GB version costs 1.998 Yuan (€ 260) and the various 8 / 128GB will be sold for 2.198 Yuan (€ 280).
