Wear OS continues to improve thanks to Google updates and is now taking a considerable step forward. The operating system of “Android” smartphones, if we can call them that, is about to receive an interesting update. This is theUV index which is displayed along with other weather data. A very useful index that we often underestimate. In fact, this tells us the "degree of radiation ”of the rays on our skin.
The UV index begins to show itself on smartwatches with Wear OS: soon the update that will monitor ultraviolet rays
The symbol for the UV index on smartwatches with Wear OS it has a similar, if not the same, design as the others small icons that we find in the weather app. We read that the ultraviolet index, which varies from 0 to 11+, is a "international standard measure of the intensity of ultraviolet radiation that produces burns in a particular place and time".
Google tells us that the implementation of the UV index is in the process of being released and will be available for all smartwatches Wear OS running the latest updates. Clearly this is a software update and, despite this, not everyone can take advantage of the feature. Although the brand has announced that the latest updates are needed, we expect smartwatches "entry level ”do not support this functionality.
Remember that this is not just the last of the many features of the watch operating system: with Wear OS it will be possible record the smartwatch screen.
