Yeedi 2 Hybrid Review - Washes, vacuums and costs poco
I was contacted by the manufacturer invite, a young producer in the market for robot vacuum cleaner, to test its new flagship product Yeedi 2 Hybrid which aims to offer a good product at affordable prices. And this is the case since the product is proposed at € 229 on Amazon.
La package, looking a bit sparse, it contains however everything you need: Vacuum cleaner, charging base, side brushes, disposable cloths, reusable cloth, HEPA filter and instruction manual.
THEappearance of the yeedi 2 Hybrid is nice, simple but clean. The upper part is white and interrupted only by the start / recharge button and the camera of the V-SLAM. The bottom is black and shows the 240ml water container. The one of the 430 ml powder is internal.
Il engine is capable of delivering one suction power of 2500Pa, very high value that we find only in very expensive products. And in fact the yeedi 2 Hybrid has fully satisfied my tests even by setting the suction to a minimum (of three levels).
To orient itself the yeedi 2 Hybrid uses a navigation system "Visual" called Visual SLAM. Thanks to the camera it is able to recognize environments and obstacles and orient itself with the only limitation of needing illuminated environments to work correctly.
THEnavigation algorithm, after an initial loss necessary more than anything else to map the house (at least 3 complete cleanings recommended), he began to propose sensible trajectories even if not at the levels of Roborock which remains for me "a reference". To help the movement we find the classics anti-fall and anti-collision sensors. The latter left me a little perplexed because it tends to hit and therefore push lighter objects.
The absence of the classic LIDAR turret, however, has the great advantage of giving the vacuum cleaner a very small thickness of only 7,3cm which allow him to pass under the furniture much more easily.
In general the Yeedi 2 Hybrid handled house cleaning efficiently mine (about 90 square meters walkable), overcoming obstacles of 2cm and reaching even the most complicated corners. The large 5.200mAh battery, also typical of expensive products, was more than enough even in turbo mode.
The yeedi 2 Hybrid is also equipped with advanced washing functions which also work during suction thanks to the dedicated tank. The cloth mounted in the lower part is dragged during the vacuuming with acceptable results on hard floors and poco dirty. We do not have the possibility to adjust the jet that will wet the underlying cloth and therefore also to choose no-wash zones.
The robot vacuum cleaner is controlled by his Companion app via wifi, well done and completely translated into Italian. The app is available for both Android than iOS.

Lo yeedi 2 Hybrid defends itself very well from the point of view of suction and washing always obtaining excellent results and in line with much more expensive products.
La navigation is lower compared to models that use LIDAR, not so much in orientation as in the recognition of obstacles which is more difficult. This translates into a longer cleaning time but all in all bearable considering the price and theexcellent autonomy which guarantees long, uninterrupted cleaning sessions.
