Today's technology seems to increasingly focus on helping housekeeping, allowing us to improve our lifestyle thanks to products designed and studied to make up for our shortcomings / gaps in the home, but above all the cost of grabbing an object dedicated to this purpose. has become truly within everyone's reach.
Among these is the Yeedi Vac Max which offers technical specifications at times superior to the very expensive robots of the most famous brands. If you are curious to know what this robot vacuum cleaner is capable of, you just have to watch our video review and deepen the details in the paragraphs below.
Starting from the sales package we do not find who knows what richness of content, but still sufficient for use from the first minute of our robot vacuum cleaner. In fact, in addition to the Yeedi, we find a multilingual user manual (including Italian), the floor cleaning accessory with its microfiber sponge and 5 Sweefer-style mats for polishing the floor and of course the charging base and power cable with socket European, whose excess wire can be anchored to the back of the charging base.
Of course, already pre-installed, we find the dirt container with its HEPA filter already applied, whose capacity is 450 ml plus the additional water tray equipped with a solenoid valve, with a capacity of 240 ml. Before you ask me, I tell you right away that it is possible to buy spare parts, such as cloths, filters and brushes at very low prices, all available on Amazon, where you can also proceed with the purchase of the self-emptying base.
The Yeedi Vac Max in terms of design does not differ much from the classic robot vacuum cleaners on the market, adopting a classic circular shape with a diameter of 35 cm for a maximum height of 7,7 cm, a thickness that allows the robot to practically slip into everywhere, thus going to collect dirt even in those places where competitors cannot. To obtain such a reduced thickness and contain production costs, the company had to make a compromise, i.e. the Yeedi Vac Max is not equipped with a laser turret and therefore navigation takes place by means of optical SLAM navigation, as it is present. a camera suitable for mapping the environment, whose performance will be analyzed later.
The robot immediately conveys the feeling of a product well cared for in every detail but above all solid even if the body is made of plastic, around which a collision absorption bumper is connected, and fortunately it is present considering that often the appliance in question will collide with obstacles in general. Here you can feel the absence of a laser turret but we have at least the anti-fall sensors, for differences in height such as stairs. Another small defect found (typical of most robot vacuum cleaners) is due to the white color which, although elegant and sober at the same time, is like a magnet for dirt and micro scratches due to collision with furniture.
Next to the navigation camera we find the only command button, to turn the device on / off and to start a cleaning cycle with the last stored program. The upper part opens showing inside it a small LED indicating the WiFi connection status and a small button for resetting the device but also the 0,45 liter dust container and a sort of tool to clean the brushes from residues. hairs and / or hair possibly entangled. The dust container mounts a whole series of gaskets to prevent dirt from escaping but above all it is washable without any problem. Inside it also houses the HEPA filter which is also washable for better cleaning and hygiene.
On the lower part of the Yeedi Vac Max we find a side brush for cleaning the corners as well as the rotating brush at the suction mouth with a curled design able to prevent any hair or hair from getting stuck in the motor bearing. Also in this case the two elements can be disassembled and cleaned.
Also on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner we find a small omnidirectional wheel able to rotate the robot 360 degrees and two drive wheels with independent suspensions that allow our household gadget to overcome steps and obstacles up to 2 cm thick. Personally I have not had any problems with clothesline, fans or even with wires, always managing to extricate themselves, but obviously the advice is to keep the floor as clear as possible when the robot passes. In any case, if the Yeedi should happen to get stuck, you will be notified both with a voice note and via notification on your smartphone. Oh yes, the Yeedi Vac Max speaks in Italian and it is a real pleasure to listen to it, first of all for the generous volume and above all because we are finally dealing with a product that is truly made also for the Italian market.
We have not mentioned the charging, which takes place by means of two metal strips positioned in the lower part of the robot which will anchor to the other two strips of the charging dock which will be placed at a distance of about half a meter from any obstacle, in order to favor the automatic return of the robot. There is not much to dwell on the base for charging other than the fact that it is equipped with a non-slip base, so as to remain firm in its position when "touched" by the robot and which gives a full of energy in 6 hours. It should also be noted that the charging dock has over-current, over-voltage and short-circuit protection. We therefore also deal with the battery and relative autonomy chapter, by means of a 5200 mAh unit that can guarantee cleaning up to 180/200 square meters for about 220 minutes of continuous use (data that depends on the type of cleaning you will perform) . Personally in turbo mode I managed to cover the entire surface of the house, that is 85 square meters in about 80 minutes with a residual battery of 30%. However if the battery power runs out before cleaning is complete, the robot will automatically return to the dock. Only after 2 hours of charging will it resume cleaning from where it left off.
On the circular profile we find the system speaker hidden by a grid through which the robot will warn us of the events in progress, in Italian, and the air fan.
As already mentioned, the navigation and relative mapping of the environments takes place by means of a camera with SLAM navigation, able to learn the layout of the house and plan a clear and organized path for cleaning an entire floor of the house. The generated map can be edited for the insertion of barriers or to plan the cleaning of certain rooms compared to others or of a certain area, but we cannot, for example, manage two maps just as we cannot start a washing-only program. Despite this, the cleaning performance is not lower than that of robots equipped with a turret, thanks to a powerful and very intelligent algorithm capable of optimally evaluating the environment in which the robot will work.
Moving on to the technical specifications, the Yeedi Vac Max manages to impress in consideration of the price at which it is offered. All the sensors on board the robot are really well optimized but the really impressive thing is the suction power that is generated, capable of reaching up to 3000 Pa (Pascal) with a maximum noise level of 67 dB, rather low compared traditional vacuum cleaners, allowing the use even if we are in the study or work phase. There are 3 suction levels, 600/1500 and 3000 Pa, a real hurricane against dirt, sucking up crumbs, coarse residues, hair and hair but also the annoying pebbles of the cat litter, which are generally scattered throughout the house.
Furthermore, the Yeedi Vac Max is able to identify carpets and rugs, independently increasing the suction power. For carpets, however, it should be specified that these must not be of a soft type or with too long pile, otherwise there is a risk that the robot gets stuck and / or turns around it, thus leaving the carpet prey to its own dirt.
The Yeedi appliance is able to vacuum and wash at the same time, although it must be considered that washing the floor is more like a sort of "refresh", as we do not have a mechanical movement of the cloth but only a drag. The water contained inside the tank passes on the cloth through an electric pump with a single hole, guaranteeing cleaning for about 60/65 square meters, due to the reduced capacity of the tank of only 240 ml. So you have to take into account that you will not be able to carry out a total cleaning, having to refill the water at least halfway through the planned total cleaning. However, you can choose 4 different levels of water flow.
The Yeedi Vac Max relies on the proprietary Yeedi application, available for Android and iOS systems, which also allows the robot to be associated with the Alexa assistant, with which to issue voice commands. The association with the app is practically immediate, in fact you will have to frame the QR Code present under the upper cover of the Vac Max and proceed with the simple and quick steps proposed by the app.
I was slightly disappointed in the management of the maps, which are not graphically accurate as one would expect, but above all I cannot entrust names to rooms other than those proposed by the app. On the other hand, the menu relating to spare parts is convenient, providing real time the state of wear and / or cleaning of the components, thus allowing us to program a cleaning of the robot or replacement of the same.
As already said and reiterated, the only navigation by means of a camera is a compromise to be taken into consideration, also because the accuracy of this goes hand in hand with the ambient lighting. Overall, however, the Yeedi Vac Max does not rely on random passages but cleaning is rather reasoned, dividing the surface to be cleaned into sectors and then proceeding to close parallel lines (Z path).
The thing that surprised me during use was the extreme suction power from the thinnest dust to small more consistent elements. I did a test after having just passed the traditional vacuum cleaner and despite everything the Yeedi Vac Max managed to collect a lot of dirt despite the apparently clean surface.

In conclusion, Yeedi Vac Mac is a product that really convinces, thanks to high-level performance and truly surprising cleaning efficiency. Personally I cannot make a direct comparison with more famous models but I can certainly say that by virtue of the price the robot in question has nothing to envy to its competitors both in terms of construction quality and performance. An enviable quality / price ratio, a product that manages to improve and optimize the time you dedicate to domestic cleaning, allowing you to concentrate the time you would have taken to clean the floor, for example for dusting, cleaning the chandeliers but also simply to treat yourself to healthiness. Relax.
