ZTE Axon 20 5G Extreme Edition presented in China

After presenting the first smartphone with a front camera under the display, the ZTE Axon 20 5G in early September, the Chinese brand returns to be talked about with a new version of the same device. We welcome the ZTE Axon 20 5G Extreme Edition.

ZTE Axon 20 5G Extreme Edition

As the name suggests, the Axon 20 5G Extreme Edition is an enhanced version of its predecessor, but is that really the case?

The ZTE poster shows us a more refined device with an orange back cover possibly in leather, although the Chinese media are not yet certain. Then we have a writing "AXON" in large letters on the back, a trend that we have already seen on several devices, especially those of the Honor brand.

That said, all other specs have not been mentioned, so they should be similar, if not identical, to those of the standard version ZTE Axon 20 5G.

We will then find a huge 6,92-inch OLED display with FHD + resolution, a refresh rate of 90Hz, 10-bit playback and 20,5: 9 aspect ratio, as well as a fingerprint reader embedded under the display.

On the back, we have a module with four 64MP main sensor cameras, coupled with an 8MP ultrawide and two 2MP units for depth data and macro shooting. The selfie camera instead has a resolution of 32MP.

The smartphone is powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 765G chipset with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128 / 256GB of internal storage. Finally, we find a 4.220mAh battery with 30W fast charging.

ZTE has not disclosed the price of the Axon 20 5G Extreme Edition, but given that the basic version costs around 270 €, we expect a slightly higher price.
