After having anticipated it for several days, ZTE has finally presented its Axon 20 5G, the first smartphone on the market with a front camera under the display.
ZTE Axon 20 5G: Official the first smartphone with camera under the display
ZTE has managed to achieve this with a highly transmissive and transparent display layer. The Axon 32's 20MP selfie cam is also equipped with its own light perception sensor that adjusts the amount of light needed for each scenario.
ZTE then had to rework the pixel arrangement around the camera lens to match the rest of the display without any noticeable color distortion. Finally, a new processing algorithm optimizes image clarity.
In addition to the state-of-the-art camera, the smartphone adopts a huge 6,92-inch OLED display with FHD + resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It also features 10-bit color output and 20,5: 9 aspect ratio, as well as a built-in fingerprint reader.
On the back, we have a four-camera module featuring a 64MP main sensor. While other cameras include an 8MP ultrawide and two 2MP units for depth data and macro shooting.
The smartphone is powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 765G chipset with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128 / 256GB of internal storage. Finally, we find a 4.220mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
The ZTE Axon 20 5G will be available in black, white, purple and orange at the starting price of 2198 Yuan (270 €).
